I recently started a new part-time job. I work at an izakaya near my house. Since I just began, I am not used to the work yet, and sometimes I feel a little nervous. However, I really want to learn quickly and become more confident in what I do. The staff around me are kind, and they teach me many things, so I try my best to follow their advice and improve every day. I hope that, as time goes by, I can work more smoothly, handle customers better, and become someone the team can rely on. I know it will take some effort, but I am motivated to keep trying hard until I get fully used to my new job.

Hello. During my trip to Oita, I enjoyed a lot of delicious food, including toriten (chicken tempura), sushi, and yakiniku. Each meal felt special because it’s not something I can eat every day. And luckily, the weather somehow cleared up, so I decided to take a drive into the mountains to see the wild monkeys. When I arrived, I was surprised to learn that more than 500 monkeys happened to be there that day. It was amazing to see so many in one place, and they were very cute. I especially enjoyed watching the baby monkeys. Their faces weren’t red yet, and I learned that the red color appears later as they grow, due to the capillaries becoming more visible. After that, I went to hot spring with my family. There are so many kinds of hot springs in Oita. Overall, it became a really wonderful memory. The combination of great food, good weather, and such a unique experience made the day unforgettable.

Recently, I’ve gotten really into customizing plain hoodies in my own style. I cut fabric into shapes I like and sew them on, and I’ve also been embroidering whatever patterns come to mind. Before I knew it, my room had turned into a little studio. I love the feeling of creating something that exists nowhere else in the world, and I’ve completely fallen in love with the process. I didn’t have much experience with embroidery at first, so I was pretty clumsy and my stitches were all over the place. But as I kept practicing, I think I gradually got better. I can still only do simple designs, but next time I want to challenge myself with something a bit more intricate. The hoodies that used to be totally plain now look like pieces from a brand-new fashion line. It’s so much fun that I end up working on them late into the night. I’m really happy to have found a new hobby.

Hello. Recently, it has become very cold. I can live more comfortably than in summer, but trains are not comfortable. In winter, trains use heaters, so when I wear a thick coat or when the train is crowded, I feel very hot. Sometimes I wish they would turn off the heating. Yesterday, the plan for my class reunion was decided. The Coming-of-Age ceremony is soon, so I feel it is real, and I am excited to see how my classmates from junior high school have grown!! I often remember old school days when I see a friend’s from junior high school and it makes me nostagic. I want to control my diet before the ceremony, but I love sweets and eating, so it is difficult. However I will try hard so that I can see some change in my appearance and feel more confident. I hope the day will be fun and full of good memories.
